I hate to be the wet blanket, but... Haiku has exactly seventeen syllables, divided into three lines of five, seven and five syllables. Part of the genius of good Haiku is the poet's ability to adhere to the rigid form and produce beautiful verse.

Now I feel stupid.
But in my own defense, I've never seen or heard of Haiku with more than one verse or stanza, or whatever is the correct word I'm groping for. This is not to say there isn't such a thing. On the contrary, I'm merely pointing out my lack of knowledge and experience.
So much to learn, so little time.
