Thanks for opinions

>I made an oops on the prices. The 2 cherries are significantly more expensive than the Hirsches ($55). It doesn't sound like either set would be bad for me though. I'll have to think about it more since I want to also get a smaller sized 2 cherry 4mm chisel anyways.

>Would'nt you consider Japanese chisels, especially when you need them in smaller sizes?

That's my suggestion. Better chisel for less money.

>Hey Chico,

Somethings wrong with your math. The Japanese chisels are more money not less! Thanks for the alternative thought suggestion though.

>I guess I missed the key word "set"! That's what it was!

Another alternative... Buy Swiss-made double bevel carving chisel from Tools'n Space and grind it to a single bevel. Very good steel and it's affordable, and comes in 3,4,5 and 6mm+ sizes.

>Oops, "on" should have been "one." That is, it's tough to find a 1/16" chisel without special ordering.
