Rust Purchase

Mark B Smith

>I just purchased a 608C at a flea market on Friday. When I got home, I discovered that the lever cap didn't seem to match. It is clearly the right size, especially in width, but it is a lot more decorated than the typcial bedrock lever cap. There is a pattern which is hard to decide but roughly speaking, it has lines radiating out from the keyhole and lines which outline the cap. I'm suspicious that it came from the same size transitional plane, i.e. a 32 or 34. Any thoughts?

Also picked up a 81 scraper. In good shape with the blade included (whew, forgot this was an odd size) and still has the rosewood bottom, but not much Nickel left on it.
