I'm Alive----Barely

Todd O. Cronkhite Maine Native in FL. Exile :~(

>Spent most of the weekend with our own Mike Fitterling and Family this past weekend. My buddy Elwynn and I invaded his home(a.k.a. The Invasion of the Maineiacs)for the purposes of going fossil hunting at Rucks Pit. We left Jacksonville 10 am Friday morning, arrived at his home around 4 pm, and I stayed up 'til about midnight. Got up Saturday morning around 6am and went digging fossils 'til 5 pm. Went back to Mikes and I stayted up 'til 1:30 am! Got up Sunday morning around 7am to rain, so we decided not to go back to Rucks pit but instead go on a recon mission of a few locations along Paines Creek/Peace River which is widely known for good fossl hunting. We went digging for awhile since we where there but found nothing other than a 4 foot snake skin which just about scared the Behayzues out of me. Thought Elwynn was gonna be the only witness to see the second man ever to walk on water there for a second.

We drove back to Jacksonville in the rain and got home just 6:45 or so. Got to bed about 11pm. got up Monday morning at 8am went to school than work until 10 pm. Needless to say I have been and still am one dragged out Galoot. Maybe this weekend I'll get caught up on my rest, but I doubt it knowing me.

Had an absolutly blast with The Fitterlings. We talked and laughed non-stop. Had such a good time I hated to go to bed at night. I am here to atest that what Mike said about his Venision cooking skills is absolutly correct, and very understated. He done a n awesome job preparing it and not only did it fall off the bone, but it melted in your mouth as well. Not sure if I'll make it too the Wood-Hoe Down or not.

>That sounds fun but did you do any rust hunting? I know to you rocks are almost as fun. Nothing beats being out side in nature.

>No Ernie, didn't do any rust hunting. Did find out from Mike that a few milies away was a show called The Flywheelers that apparently is a big show for old motors, machines, and who knows what. Think it must of been good hunting grounds for rust too. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh well.
