>The latest FWW has a article about glues. The Ground is supposedly better because the components are purer and not diluted with bone. The Pearl type is lower grade. I'm just relating the contents of the article. I have no experience with either. I also don't have the mag in front of me and might not recollect the facts perfectly.JR

>I just spent some time coming up with hide glue for my work. After some googling I found that there are numbers attached to certain grades of glue to denote their adhesion, ie. the higher the number the better they hold. Some of the lower numbers are for stained glass makers that just need to hold things in place while they form up shades , etc. This type would not be good for furniture builders; and on and on. Every time I do something like this I find out there's a bigger world than I ever thought. Ain't it grand?
