Latest PWW Issue

>I received my latest issue of Popular Woodworking yesterday and believe it to be the most interesting and informative since I first subscribed 2 or 3 years ago, and I'm a fan of the magazine.
Adam C.'s and Christopher S.'s articles were great as well as the article on the mobile tool chest, can't recall the author's name.
I do have a question though. In Christopher S.'s tool review of the Veritas straightedges he notes that the edges have holes in them so they can be hung. He also mentions that straightedges can get out of true if not stored properly. My question is how do you store them properly if they don't have holes and can't be hung on a peg or something like that. I have two steel straightedges (24" and 48") than I store flat on a shelve. Is this a problem?
