Old saw ID help

>I picked up an old split nut saw can any one with the wood tool makers book help me out? it is stamped noy an etch I think it says BROWNE or BROWNI 3 WARRANTED handle is simular to a #7 but is apple wood it has 20" blade 24" over all has the eagle with a shield with the head pointing up realy nice saw only problems is the handle has some red paint on the back of it. any idea when it was made?
