New irons for Stanley 48

Dave Mount

>A while back on eBay, someone was selling newly made replacement blades for a Stanley 48, and I think that it was someone that hangs here. I don't see any current or completed listings for these on eBay at present. Anyone know who it was? I am in need. . .

Thanks.

Don't know about ebay but...

Scott Burr in Ben Lomond CA

>Jim Reed could probably make you a set. He hangs out here. Blades from a 45 or equlivent will work too

>St. James Bay Tool Company lists them in its mail order catalog. The web address is www.stjamesbaytoolco.com, I believe.

If this address doesn't work do a search for St. James Bay Tool Company. I'm not sure if the #48 blades are listed on the web page, but I have one of the company's recent catalogs that lists them. Can't recall the price but I do remember seeing the blades listed. If you have trouble finding this, post something letting me know and I'll find something for you.
