St. Roy has a Holtey?

Mike Real from Pittsburgh

>Last Saturday watching St. Roy, I saw him pickup a beautiful brass and ebony block plane. He obviously loves it 'cause he was using it for everything. So I got to wondering where he got it from. I know he will occasionally show case tools as I saw him using the Indepence dovetail saw on several occasions. Doing some digging on the internet, it sure looks like Holteys work. Anyone else see it?

>Mike,

You can't read too much into Saint Roy using the same tool for everything in a show or two. He seems to do that right after he gets a new one; the dovetail saw is one example. I remember he got a Record rabbet plane a few years ago; for a show or two he seemed to use it instead of other tools made specifically for the chore that he had always used before the big blue appeared. I saw him use a Lie-Nielsen beading tool for things, shall I say, not covered in the instructions.
