They do need to do something about erosion control up north of Flagstaff :^) Too many OWW (or soon to be) in big campers kind of got in the way of the wilderness experience when I last traveled that way, and I surely don't have time to get around to the Kaibab plateau this trip.
Hope you enjoy your walk down, and back out again. My grandmother used to tell an apocryphal tale that she found the donkeys too expensive, and thus became the first women of European descent (mostly) to make the descent on foot, and then back out again. I know that there are joggers that do it all the time, nowadays, but I think they miss a lot.
