Grindstone attachment

>Got a friend here telling me about a sharpening jig that attaches to a old grindstone. Said he saw it at Pigeon Forge/Dollywood Tenn. Has anybody else seen this, or one like it? Sure has my interest. What do you suppose the proper name for this would be?

Little help here?

>Just what is it you`re trying to do there Todder?

If I knew more about what it was you were up to I`m pretty sure I could be of some help as I have alot of grinding attachments hanging around.

I know what you`re thinking,no I`m not a collector!

>No Garrett, I don't think it's along the lines of a Wolverine.

I imagine it's something akin to the LV tilting table jig, but am not quite sure. This is some type of attachment for a old sandstone grinding stone, that you can set to a specific angle and tighten down to hold it in place. Got me conjuring up all kinds of ideas in my think box. Doubt now I'll be able to sleep tonight.

Bob,got all kinds of grindstone attachments do ya' eh? Oooooooooooooooooo, you said that just to get me going didn't cha'? Whatcha' got whatcha' got? Gads, I'll never sleep now for sure.

>Really not sure exactly what it's for Ernie. I only got a very vague description of this attachment. sounds like it might be geared towards items such as axes, but I'm sure it could be adapted to other items such as chisels, drawknives, plane blades, etc, etc.

Would love to get to DollyWood as I hear exciting things about the place.
