LV LA Adj Mouth Jointer (July Release) ?

>I recently read that LV will be releasing a newly designed LA scrub that will use the same iron as the LA Jack. Will that same iron also be compatible with the LA Jointer that's set to be released later this year?

However, I wasn't aware that the scrub would be LA, or that it would use the same iron. (I'm not sure it would matter, as most scrub plane irons are ground with a radius, so you probably wouldn't or couldn't use them effectively on another plane even if they fit.)

Rob may choose to answer or not about the scrub, but what I know is that we're def. looking at a LA Jack, new LA Smoother, (something like a LA 4.5) and a LA Jointer that all use the same iron.

Cheers,

Greg

>Hi -

No - scrub blade is 1.48" wide (a dressed 1.5")...standard angle too...

The LA Jack, Heavy LA Smooth, and LA Jointer will all share the same 2 1/4" blades....

Cheers -

Rob
