Dave Heckel's book? *LINK*

>David,
I have the first edition of Dave Heckel's Sargent guide. It doesn't have a 1080 type study but it does list the years it was produced and notes some of the variations a type study would contain. It does have a type study of the cutter tradesmarks and one of the box types. The most interesting 1080 listed is the 1949-1953 version. It says it was made by Stanley!
Dave sells the book as well as his Stanley 45 book on ebay. I bought my copy at a mwtca national meet and got it autographed. (Dave is a past mwtca president).
I also have the Sargent catalog reprint. The 1080 is shown in the 1922 section. It was first produced in 1916 so it isn't in the 1894 or 1910 sections.
I have 4 different variations
I thought I was bad- at least mine all have different numbers! (1080, 1085, 45, 55)
