Help "Typing" a Stanley 78

>I have an older 78 with no blade adjustment lever and a "B" casting. "D" style Stanley Logo on blade. Is there a source for the type on these planes? I think it is somewhere in the 1885 to 1910 era. No fish scale on the handle.

The blade looks like the 1874-1884 one.
No Pat dates on the body though. I'm thinking marriage between a new body with and older blade.
It probably happens a lot.

I do have fish scale handles. No patent dates. "B" casting and older blade. Anyone familiar with the "B" Casting mark? I think "S" was used as well for another foundry as I recall.
