>I was able to get these benches far enough along this weekend that it finally looks like I have been doing something in the shop. They are very simple, and I didn't expect to be spending 4 months on them. Making the through mortices and carefully fitting the tenons with my LN #60-1/2R took more time than it seemed to, but was very pleasant work. I'll be putting the frames on that set right under the solid tops, and should be working on the breadboard ends on Saturday. The next picture in 3 or 4 weeks should be of a finished bench ;) The bench with the tall ends and spindles will set between two dormers. I put the back on the ends so that you can set against it with a pillow and look out the window and read a book.
