>Can someone give me the link for reporting an Ebay seller that has not shipped an item paid by Paypal? Item was paid for over three weeks ago, seller will not answer email messages. Incidentally, seller had no negatives, but two neutrals.

>Must be the season as I have some one doing the same thing to me. good news is at least he answers his e-mail claims he is at his parents untill today on holliday. sounds reasonable. hoping he comes through as I purchased a Christmas present for my nephew. so the lucky brat might get two presents if every thing works out.

>Thanks all,

I've already filed a claim through the Ebay dispute resolution center. It ain't a lot of money, but its the principal of the thing.

Personal observation: Ebay doesn't appear to be user friendly to settling claims. This is the first I've filed, although I've had several others I should have. Enough is enough.

On this item, I want the merchandise. Fact is, it is a book that should have sold for more than it did, but that's the seller's problem, not mine, contrary to the opinion of some on this board. In an auction, it is the seller's responsibility to know what he or she is selling.

>Tony I wish you luck...you may need it. I really don't see how Ebay could do much about this kind of stuff as it basicaly comes down to a "He said , She said" kind of thing and no way can Ebay determine who is right and truthful esp. in the volumne of stuff being sold.

If you are having trouble emailing the seller I would sure recomend that you get his phone number[can do that thouygh ebay] because many people have programs up that prevent your emails from getting to them. I see this ALL the time with people that buy stuff off me on ebay. My emails don't get to them and then they send me nasty emails thinking I don't want to sell them the item and am not responding to them. I call them and tell them what is happening and "Oh I just got a new email protection program"....Todd

>Todd,

I view this as pure fraud, if the seller chooses to not ship the goods, since they were paid immediately via Paypal. Ebay does not seem to want to bear the burden of assuring users of their service of transaction completions. How many "in person" auctions would take your money and then not give you what you bought?

Fortunately, I can be reimbursed through Paypal, but I do not get the goods I legitimately purchased!

Buyer beware, especially since this guy didn't have any negatives, just a couple of neutrals! That will change shortly, though.

>I'm not taking up for the seller but you should try to call him as he may not even be getting your emails and your not getting the book, which he might not even know about, might not be his fault. He could have sent the book and it got lost in the mail...you don't know. Was it sent insured? If you didn't choose to insure your book and it was sent and the mail lost it then you are up the creek and of no fault of the seller....Again I am not taking up for the seller because like you I don't know what happened. I'm am just saying I would try to contact him by phone ....Todd

>Unless I`m mistaken Ebay bought, and now owns, Paypal. No reason it should be difficult to track or verify the transaction.

I`d second the phone # thing.Nothing says "I care" more than numerous phone calls and the knowledge that they will continue till you either get what you paid for, they return the money,or they go to the trouble of changing thier number.

I feel for you.I went thru a long and drawn out battle with a seller that was ultimately removed from Ebay.it didn`t stop me from being ripped off for better than $150 of my hard earned money though. The added $20 in phone bills I felt was money well spent.

We all know what a hardhead I can be.
