>I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice and suggestions. I think that I will skip the leather and see if I can't make up a collage of family photos and have them printed on acid free paper to use as a lining.

>Most photo paper is acid free. Acid is the enemy of photos. See if you can have them printed on fiber based paper if you want them trully archival. Fiber based is only available in black and white. Where do you live? I have a small darkroom in CT and would be more then willing to print any photos you need. I only do black and white. Does it need to be done for XMAS?

>My wife's sister is a photgrapher and passed along the same advice when I sent her an e-mail with my ideas. She said that she would look after making the collage and printing them up for me, even offered to print extras incase my first lining attempt went south.

Who says sister inlaws aren't giving. (I wonder if the travel case that I made for her paint, brushes, and small boards that she already received for xmas had anything to do with it?)
