>I picked up a plane in an antique store. I am sure it is of recent make, just wondering about it. The blade is marked "Miltex" with "Germany" underneath. Between The rear tote and the fixed frog, there is the number "300" with an "S" underneath.
Tried doing a search on the net and all I came up with for Miltex was medical and dental tools.
Any help appreciated. I am going to try some other search engines and see what I can dicover.

I've never seen a Miltex plane. Given the range of tools made by Miltex, is it possible that your plane is used to plane bone? Surgeons use all kinds of woodworking tools like chisels, rasps, saws etc. Why not planes?
