I alway make sure I have a lot of cash when I go rust hunting.

The thought of seeing a nice Spiers panel plane for 50 pounds, and not having 50 pounds make me feel pretty shaky.

I'm always amazed at the small amount of cash many regular people carry.I go over the DC flea market with my girl friend Joanne and often people will have to go across the street to a bank machine to get $10 to pay her. Now these are "up town" folks in big houses and big cars so you know they got it. Sometimes I'll just come right out and ask them how come they don't carry more money and they look at me like I'm from Mars.Been told they worry about spending it,[!?] having it stolin, or that they normaly don't have to use cash for anything much anymore. I'm in another world having never used a bank machine even once in my life and paying cash for everything.In the circles I deal in though this is just how things are done, in cash .....Todd

Your financial records will be encoded into it. One day soon, all you'll need to do to buy something is slide your liciense through a reader. It's a sad indeed when that happens.

However, if I were to start habiting auctions and flea markets or take a road trip, I'd carry a lot more cash.
