>I have to shave 1/16" off a lipped pastry board I made for LOML. Put up the storm windows and Christmas lights, get started on that router table. Oh, and work on that Sargent #6 I got from Walt yesterday.

>I can sympathise with the Honey Do List from Hell... I just lived it. Crown molding and hardwood flooring and Christmas lights. Took two weeks including last weekend.

Now all I have to do is stay awake for the Crappy Christmas Gift Exchange with friends tonight, a wedding tomorrow, a company Christmas party and put out the welcome mat again on Sunday for the neighbours to come over for a Christmas open House.

I also hope to finish off rehandling a backsaw and find a good use for some leftover hardwood flooring!

Christmas party on Saturday which I have to leave early from because my brother is flying in from New Zealand for a few days (job interview). We'll take care of a family tradition whereby we eat some great Polish soul food that is rotten for our arteries. This is easily my favourite meal of the year.

Be good everyone and if you can't handle that, at least be safe.

>Saturday is the annual Galoot Xmas BBQ. A bunch of the local hand tool addicts gather in my shop to show off their coolest tools & nastiest wood, tell lies about one's woodworking and tool-buying prowess, and generally just waste the afternoon.

Then I gotta get busy on SIL's Xmas gift. It's gonna be a shelf with a couple small drawers below. If I run out of time or screw up badly, the drawers will be "optional" I guess. Turns out the butternut plank I'm using is fairly curly. It'll make a very pretty shelf!

Whose Honey-do list is to glue a broken chair leg, and check the chimney for and nests and such. Chair has been on the list for two weeks now, and the chimney for about a month. Might do 'em both tomorrow. ;~)

Found a 36" lathe at the dump this week (With 8 (yes eight) turning tools) that is just about ready to go. Need to find a four prong drive for it, it had a small face plate. hopefully Sears will have one.

>It`s going to take at least the whole weekend to unwind from this week for sure.Tuesday LOML came home early from work walking funny and looking bad.Called the Doc and it`s off to the ER,seems she has an intestinal blockage that may require surgery.

Back and forth to Portland every day while they do tests and finally surgery.It was a quick repair and she got to come home yesterday in a snowstorm.

I have a tendency to go into Drill Sgt. mode whenever I have to deal with Maine Med and it seems to take it`s toll on me more now than it used to.

One thing I will do for sure,I plan on picking up the 2 parcels that are sitting at the post office.Maybe one of them will be from Central Santa.

Oh yeah,I also get the shop keys back because I was such a good boy and didn`t make the nurses do push ups till they reached muscle failure.

The rest of you can have a rockin good weekend,I`m gonna have a rockin chair weekend.It`ll be set right next to the recliner,the one the wife owns for the next 2 weeks.

Am glad to hear that The Mrs. is alright now. Gee seems like you guys have really had your share of Medical Problems lately eh?

wouldn't be too hard on the Medical Staff, remember, you'll be dealing with them in the future and they might remember you come shot tome and pull out that "special needle". :~(

Had a dream last night that I was at a baseball game and it was my job to warm up the crowd, so I started chanting "How 'bout them Red Sox ooh ooh ooh" The wife asked me what I was talking about in my sleep, said she couldn't understand it, but that I seemed to be quite excited.

Have a good rockin' Chair weekend chum, I think it'll do ya' a world of good.
