>I thought that some of you might be interested in a couple of things I found on the web. Around the time I left Texas Robert La Salle's ship La Belle was discovered in Matagorda Bay where it sank in 1686. I was curious to see if I could find something out about it and did a web search. The wreck itself wouldn't normally be of much interest to hand tool users but I actually found a couple of things that I think some of you guys might find interesting.

In the link below: The first, located under the heading of La Salle Shipwreck Project, is "Conservation of a wooden chest". It turned out that the chest contained a number of wood working tools. The second under the heading of Port Royal Project is "A wood/iron carpenter's chisel".
