Need help making a molding with hand tools

>I am trying to copy a edge treatment from one of the coffe tables we have in our living room (drawing below). It is very simple, just a rabbet and bead. If I were using power tools, I would rabbet the board then use a beading router bit in the rabbeted area. How do I do the same thing with hand tools? The rabbet I can do with my #46, but the bead aludes me. In case it matters, the bead has a 1/4" radius. Is there a specific wooden moulding plane to do this type of beading or would an appropriate sized round plane do the trick? Is there a good resource on the web or in print that has pictures of the different type molding planes that were produced?
