>Have never seen one Walt, but that blade support "ramp" down at the mouth is very very similiar to the one one the #3 sized body that I bought last week. In case you missed it it was titled "What did I buy now" I have yet to clean this body so I have not found any further markings other than the cast P3912 behind what we would know as the frog, but is actually just a fixed support.

I will let you know if I find any further info on mine. They may be related.

Looks like it could be one of the rarer Victor planes made by Leonard Bailey himself. With the adjustable mouth and boss for a rear knob it could be a 1-1/4, 1-1/2, 2-1/4 or 2-1/2 depending on length and whether the trim was chromed or not. Mr Walter seems to think these are pretty rare beasties and prices them at $1000+ (complete)

I have a couple Victor planes (nothing as rare as yours), but you should be able to see how it would look with the rest of the bits intact...except for the rear knob. The local flea hasn't given up a block plane with a rear knob yet....Rob

>Thanks, guys...that saddle looks like Rob's plane...body is 6 & 1/4" long and cutter would have been (max) 1 & 10/16" wide..doesn't quite match Walter's descriptions..but it's the closest I've seen yet...gotta try to not lose it until next LFOD auction.....figuring I may never find the parts if it's that rare, but it's worth a shot!
