I have some Canadian Stanleys as well. I asked the same question before, and apparently they are rarer than US made ones, but Todd Hughes told me that they also go for less on Ebay (less collector value). Doug Evans also told me that he thought they were made slightly heavier (thicker castings) than the US versions. Yours was probably made about an hour's drive from my home, in Roxton Pond near Granby, Quebec. Stanley had a factory there until the 1960s (the factory's still there but abandoned). Apparently Stanley made tools there so they could sell them in Commonwealth countries without paying duty. I hear there are quite a few of them in Australia.
