Top shelves..

CONGER - The Irish diaspora in Munich

>.. some friends.

The elephant in the middle is an opium dealers weight...

The mahout is talking with his 'darling'.

The buffalo is resting (not in the mud).

The warthog is strutting... like warthogs do.

The minaret is waiting the call to prayer.

The Virgin Mary is looking serene.

And Buddha inspires to peace and tolerance.

Last pic to come..

>Thanks Peter for the compliments. These shelves are really the first of two. The 2nd set should look better... better wood, and the experience gained with the first. The 2nd shelves will not be started before mid '05... or so is the plan for now.

Concerning the nice things... most of the credit goes to GHQ. I am the engineer, and she is the artist. She has a great eye for colour and form. She is a true Dane, with the ability to make banal things look well.

The next project is a barrel-top blanket chest... anyone know where I can find plans... or tips? That curved lid daunts me... but, there is no way around it.
