Diamond sizing ?

Bob Hackett

>Does anyone have a link to a chart or something for diamond dust/paste? One I can print it out and use to reference micron to abrasive paper size?

I understand now that "mesh" is a grit size(as in 360 mesh=360 grit sandpaper). What I`m not sure of and need the chart for is what does 1 micron diamond equal in grit size?I can get 14000 and 50000 mesh/grit paste and have no idea what that equals in microns.I`m assuming(even though I know it`s bad)that anything under 1/2 micon is too fine for anything useful.Except maybe the finest ultra-hone,used only in a carefully controlled lab atmosphere to shave subatomic particles off of gnarly grained tropical wood molecules.
