saw blade thickness - does it matter much?
Rod Cole
>Still looking for a blade for a small buck saw to use as a dovetail saw. I thought to email L-N, and they are happy to make up a blade for me, $28 delivered to my door, which seems pretty fair. But the only stock they have 12 inches long is 0.032 inches thick, which seems a bit on the sturdy side (blade will be under tension so I think I could go rather thinner).
But having never used something like the L-N dovetail saw with a 0.02 in blade, or their gents saw with a 0.015 in blade, I have no idea if I'd really notice a difference.
Thoughts?
