Kids' new bench complete, now which vice

>Thanks to all on the advice for my boys' workbench from a couple of months ago. It is finished at 27" tall, is 24" wide and 4'8" long, 3 1/4" thick. Trestle base and hex bolts screwed into DT aluminum rod holding the stretchers in. Ethan (younger son) seems pleased, he hauled over his pink dressed doll and fixed her hair on the bench. I snapped a digital photo which is guaranteed to show up at his high school graduation party!!
Anyhow, Ethan says he wants a Veritas twin screw like Dad's. Short version is he'll never save his allowance long enough for one of those. I was thinking about a Jorgensen from WW Supply, but even those are $100 to $120. I'm frugal, but not cheap. I want to make sure that whatever I buy will last the boys through what I hope will be a long wood working career. Anyone have a favorite affordable face vice? It will be mounted at the front left corner, and I have 9 3/4" of clear top past the outside edge of the base.
Thanks again,
