>I have been collecting Bishop for quite a few years. Welcome others opinions, but the quality of the steel has been hit and miss compared to Disston, Atkins or Simonds. I file my own saws, and have had a lot of trouble with the brittleness of Bishop teeth breaking off on some saws, but not others.

All I know is that George Bishop moved from Cinncinati to Lawrenceburg, IN in 1899.
