As you may recall, I, in my neophyte exuberance and rapidly increasing slide down the slope, recently bid on a near mint #7 that was posted on Ebay. I was firmly admonished and taken to task by certain neanders here for running up the price, and for lacking the requisite knowledge necessary to differeniate between a "user" and a plane to be purchased for resale to "collectors" at a profit. My rationale for my outlandish behavior is posted elsewhere.
As luck would have it, my upbraiding for such boorish behavior led me to Walt Q and Brass City Tool Works. After a brief chat with Walt, I am now the owner of a finely tuned #7 "user", for a hell of a lot less than my foolish Ebay bid.
