I have seen a few both having long and short handles. Imagine these were used in the hollowing out of the artificail limbs. Look to be home made and maybe your Dad made them himself. While pretty neat in my experance craftsman made tools are worth a good bit less then factory made ones on avarage but you never really know with something like this.

I once made an iron hook for a strange guy that had lost his hand. He liked it so much had me make him different knives that screwed into his arm as well. Kind of neato.....Todd

These were used in the hollowing out of the artificial limbs. I doubt very much he made them, judging by some chisel handle repairs, I think he saved his skill's for leg's, they were impresive. That was fine woodworking. I doubt if they were homemade, everything is too consistant, chrome deteration, machining of the furrele's. Cutter shape's are hard to see in the pic but look like a set. Maybe a custom maker?
