Planes . .Hot & Cold

>My question concerns deformity of cast-iron planes at commonly encountered working temperatures. There are many here who are interested in trueness of their planes; sole flatness, side squareness, etc . . and who routinely conduct sophisticated measurements to assure accuracy. I make only rather gross measurement, but have had pretty good luck with my planing, but then again . .I am not too demanding. I do, however plane at temperatures from 32 F. to 110 F. (not much of THAT!) and I want to know if anyone has checked to see how much a plane deforms thru such temperature swings.
Is it possible that a plane brought true at 40F. may be badly deformed at 90F.?
