Draw Knife...

john l. blue

>saw a bunch of them at together at a flea mart with 25 and 35 dollar prices on them, asked the fella to find a 10 dollar one for me, which he did, and he also said it was probably the best one of the bunch, the handles were tape and rubber hose.

I put dogwood handles on them, drilled holes, stuck'em in there, and used that glue that supposedly gets as hard as wood itself. Blue

>Way to go Blue! Sounds like you rescued an old tool from a undignified end. Tape and rubber hose hose handles. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEACK!

Some folks really think that drawknives are big $$$ items, which I guess based on condition and maker some are, but I've seen many rough ones marked up into the $20+ range.

Do you go by Blue, or John? I see you signed Blue at the end of your post.
