>Don't know for sure, but my Dad has a Millers Falls router (tailed variety) purchased in about 1960. If the electron murderers made it here, then I suspect hand tools did also.

>Yup, many Millers Falls planes & other tools were exported to Australia over the years. Other companies that exported to Australia include Sargent, Vaughan & Bushnell, Ohio and many of the smaller brands.

I should also add that from Britain Australia basically got most, if not all, of the major players.

I have a MF jointer guage similar to the Stanley 386. I was just using an hour ago actually (gloating that I have a week off to play in my workshop :-)
