Draw-bored mortises

>Should the pin go all the way through even on thick stock? My leg is 2 1/2" thick. Do I drill all the way through?

>For a draw bore mortise; the pin needs plenty of "grip" on both sides of the tenon. This normally means all the way through. If you have a thick leg, and do not want the pin to show; drill through the back and almost through the front.

Yes please!

>Hi Y'all,

Tex, from a conservators point of view, we love to see them go all the way through. It make it so much easier to drift the pin out from the back side when disassembly is required.
