Buying a second miter box
Bill Houghton, Sebastopol, CA
>I stopped by the neighbor's up the street last night, attracted by the pile of stuff out front marked "free" (like bees to honey, hornets to hamburgers...). She's getting ready for a garage sale Saturday, and one of the items she's got (from a relative) is a practically brand-spankin' new looking Stanley miter box with a honking big Stanley saw. It's similar to the classic Millers-Falls Langdon Acme boxes, with the vertical posts sliding up and down to carry the saw. I failed to get the number from it - 360A? 3600A? Something like that.
She's not sure of price, which of course will be a deal-breaker; but if the price is sweet, do these have any advantage over a Millers-Falls box, one of which I already own?
