In going through the planing bench pictures, I could just barely get the meaning of everything but the pan of water with the tube (if that's what it was). Was this a demonstation of the means to level the bench in both planar directions?

Beautiful benches. I join Conger in wishing Herr Epple the very best with his enterprise.
