>The concept isn't new, but I don't recognize this specific plane. SMT has loaned me an Auburn plane that was kind of a hybrid between a low angle style moveable toepiece and a high angle style adjustable angle frog. Fascinating plane that allows bedding angle adjustments about as rapid as a blade extension adjustment. I'll be saying more about this plane, likely as a sidebar to the main text when I someday get the second study written up.

A good rare plane and it would be interesting to see what the final price will be? I was considering bidding on it myself but I reckon it'll go for much much more than I'm willing to bid. Who knows though? Maybe I'll try and snipe it in the dying moments :-)
