Sargent Shaw's Patent gloat

>After a brief tour of the web, I managed to identify an old sargent plane I bought this weekend. It's a Sargent #9 VBM plane with the Shaw's Patent frog. The only problem is that the chipbreaker is bent a bit, and the blade is out of a Type 11 Stanley (the V logo).It was $10.
Anybody know much about these or ahve any expereince with them?
