One-of-a-kind shop clock
SPutre
>Thought I'd share my latest project with all of you. I was searching for a clock whch would fit into my shop environment, and I wound up making one myself.
The clock itself is a 14" 'Atomic' clock which keeps time by picking up a radio signal and setting itself. Never needs setting or Daylight Savings adjustments. I got it on Ebay for a reasonable price.
The face is a piece of maple veneer with the images ironed on. I scan and edit the images on my PC, then print them backwards on thin typing paper on an ordinary laser printer. Place paper on the veneer and apply lots of heat and pressure with a household iron. I also use the iron-on technique to put my logo on my projects.
