>I was given a Miller Falls 1306c miter box. Any idea where I can get a manual detailing parts/operation? I know that using a miter box is pretty straight forward, but this has a couple of brackets that I am not familiar with. Thanks for any help.

>Tom,

I'm not familiar with this particular box, but I'm guessing that the brackets that you are refering to are the two sliding ones on the bottom where the board to be cut lies right? If so, they are for holding moulding at the desired angle to be cut. Butt the moulding un against the posts that slick up and slide them back until the moulding is at the angle you so desire.

Sorry if I'm mistaken, just trying to help.

>Are they on the post? The ones attached from the top, down keep the saw from cutting into the box. The ones attached to the lower part of the post with the stops up are there to adjust depth of cut so's you doesn't have to reset the upper ones.

I've got 4 Langdons. The prize is an almost cherry Size 2 1/2, No. 73 that came with a 26" Dissten. I find I grab that more often now then that big yellow 12" noise maker.

Yes T.C. one of them came from the Dump.
