I have moved on and have this part of the project done. Ran the boards through the table saw and then cleaned them up with the No. 6 and just learned through trial and error.

Thanks for the posts on tuning the plane. I have not had time to really clean this plane or give it the attention it needs. To many other pressing matters in building the house. Once I get it done then the shop (and the tools) will get some attention.
