>It looks good Alan. Where did you get your hardware from? I finally had some time last weekend and finished the woodwork. I put my first coat of paint on tonight. I'll post a picture when done.

>Thanks. it will interesting to see what yours looks like with paint. The hardware is from Lee Valley; price was less than several other sources. They only list two sizes; but those two worked for me.

>Congratulations Alan. The paintwork looks like it already has some real patina; very nice. Did you have other reasons than the masters drawing when you decided to put two pulls/drawer?

As you seem to manage under the time limit and the result is so fine can we call you a real journeyman perhaps :)

>Thanks for the compliments. I used two handles per drawer as this was what was done with the originals from that time period.

>Alan, that is really nice. Thank you for taking the effort to document so many of the steps. I found the resulting web pages quite interesting.

>Thanks of the compliments. The purpose of this whole exercise is to have fun (it was/is fun). The web site is my attempt to show that "standard" tools will do the job without having to have a "complete" and unlimited tool supply. I wish that some of this information had been readily available to me, years and years ago, when I was starting out.
