My piece is designed to meet "minimum" quality standards for a commissioned piece in 1780. It is far from perfect or even high quality as the detail photos on the web pages will show. Lets see what you are doing.

Looking through them, I noticed that majority of your tools is from LV, is that right? I saw LN dovetail saw and an a couple of old Stanleys (45 and 78 my guess?).
How did LV planes perform for you (are you happy with LV planes)? Do you find it's worth getting a low-angel smoother? I am not talking about the $$$, just from perspective of using it...

I like the LV tools that I have. I have the LA block. LA smoother (both blades). and shoulder plane. These are part of the 20 or so metal planes that I have and use. The LA smoother is my first to try when I need a smoother.
