>The absolute best thing to do in Cincinnati for a woodworker is to go to the Cincinnati Art Museum which has a standing exhibit on Cincinnati Art Carved Furniture which was a furniture movement in the 1870's or so. Mingled in with it is a bunch of Rookwood pottery which is also native to Cincinnati. Awesome!!!! See the attached link. They will also be having a visiting exhibit of sculpture from the ancient Nabataean city of Petra -- only one of three cities in the U S where this exhibit will be showing.

There are great places to eat along the river, especially on the Kentucky side. Try Mike Fink's, if you can afford it. On the Cincinnati side there is the Boat House, which is pretty good also. It's a doable walk to the Red's stadium, if you want to take in a game.

Almost directly across from the stadium in Newport, Ky is the newly developing entertainment district with lots of restaurants, usually featuring blues or rock. It also has the one and only real Hoffbrau Haus in the U S, managed by the owners of the original Hoffbrau Haus in Germany. It's very ZinZinnati. Also the new very yuppie mall is there, right along the river. It supposedly is highly rated for family oriented things and it has a couple of really good restaurants in it, as well as a good aquarium.

The Cincinnati Zoo was voted the sexiest zoo in America, whatever that means. They do have a lot of success in breeding exotic animals. They also have lots of white tigers. It's where Sigfried and Roy got all of their white tigers.

If you're into river boat gambling there is the Argosy Casino about 25 miles west in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. And if watching the ponies run is your thing, there is River Downs in far eastern Cincinnati and Turfway in northern Kentucky. You just missed the Masters tennis tournament, which Aggasi won, just a couple of hours ago.

Hope that's enough.
