Repairing a Broken Blade

Has anybody out there ever Glued a blade back together?
I was helping a friend work on a 78 last night and noticed the blade was ot sitting properly on the bed.
At first I thought it was the bed but soon realized it was fine with my 78 blade so I stuck the little sweetheart blade in a vice and gave it a push. Well the blade broke in two and I have a 6" gouge out of my arm and most of my skin and hair were still sitting on the blade.
The break is clean and at the bottom of the slot. I was thinking about trying to either use some JB weld or Gorilla GLue to put it back together. Anybody tried this before? Anybody got a spare 78 Sweetheart blade and want to get me out of hot water with a friend?
