>I bought a oxhead inshave and it's beveled from the outside. Somehow I thought it should be beveled on the inside. Am I wrong I tried it out and it doesn't seem to work that good at hollowing so before I spend any time sharpening it I firguered better ask.

>I purchased one a while back. Use a drum sander or the equivalent to "sharpen" the inside (sort of like flattening the backs of your plane irons or chisels). Then sharpen the beveled side. Mike Dunbar's book on Windsor chairs has a good section on how to use an inshave. The Oxhead is sort of okay when it is sharpened - but it doesn't compare well with the really good ones.
