Dinner meeting in Northern Virginia

Joe Rogers, Northern Virginia

>Dave Shoultz and I have been emailing Raymond from Trenton about his visit to the area for a work seminar. We have found that Monday the 2nd of Aug. is the most probable night for a dinner meeting. I guess Ray hates to eat alone;-)

If there are any posters in the area that would like to have dinner with us we would love to have you join us.

The usual spot for us has been the Hard Times Cafe in Springfield VA. It is very accessable from I 95 at the Springfield exit. This is the first exit south of the I 95 I 395 I 495 interchange. I will post a follow up with exit numbers and better directions. The time for the gather is 6:30 to 7:30 and flexable. We haven't been thrown out yet and we have stayed pretty late.

Post if you are interested and we will set up a large enough table.JR

Dave (Arlington, VA)

>Hey Joe -

I think you already counted me, but I'm in.

See you there! And Raymond, and anyone else who can be there.

William, it'll be good to see you too. It's been a while. Glad you can make it. Looking forward to an update from 5 Barns.

If you're of a mind, and you're local to the Washington Metro area (or not), come on and join us. It's be a couple of hours of fun and fellowship.

Regards -

Dave

Proper attire required

Raymond in Trenton NJ

>Be warned Bill, Hard Times changed their dress code ... you have to have your hair combed :o)

It'll be great to see youz guyz again. For anyone else (including Sir William) showing up, If you're early (like I will be) there's a Woodcraft a nearby shopping center (strip mall?). I can't remember the names, but it's across the street to the right as you're facing Hard Times.

See ya Monday.

Raymond

Directions to Hard Times

Joe Rogers, Northern Virginia

>Directions Hard Times Cafe.

From I 95 take exit 169B. This is Rt 644 west, Old Keene Mill Road. Stay in the right lane and go approximately 2 blocks. You will go under a bridge and take the first right turn, Bland Street. There is a sign that says to 617 south at the turn. As soon as you make the right onto Bland Street you will see a shopping center with a Big K Mart. The Hard Times cafe is next door(on the right) to the Big K Mart.

We hope to see as many area woodworkers as can make it to the gather.JR

Skip in Falls Church

>You guys are going to give me a complex. :) I'm working nights and can't make it. The pattern seems to be that if you're meeting for breakfast, I'm working days, if you're meeting for dinner, I'm working nights. I wonder what would happen if you guys met for lunch. It would be really neat to see some of the faces behind all the posts - but I guess that will have to wait.

OTOH, it's dangerous to let me get that close to Woodcraft. They won't let me buy anything in there unless my wife is with me. :)
