>I've got one of the adjustable squares and the cutting gauge. Both are outstanding in build quality.

The square is probably my favorite layout tool. You can square it up easily using two screws in the butt.

The cutting gauge is equally sweet, with very nice little touches throughout. There's a narrow inlaid brass strip in the head that allows you to gauge with the tip of your finger where the humidity level is in your shop by how proud the strip it. The way the head locks down is just ingenious.

All in all, expensive but worth it.

>Hi,

I have a 1:8 dovetail gauge and also the smaller 45 degree miter square and like both of them a lot. As Chris mentions they are very well made although a little pricey. Both of mine are lace she oak and are just beautiful. I liked the wood so much I tracked some down for small projects. Attached is a photo (I hope) of the DT square.

Another point of note... I got mine from Joel at Tools For Working Wood and was very pleased with the service and selection.
