Busted again

Jonathan Peck - N.Y.

>Busted again. My oldest has taken to running down the hallway yelling "MOM!!! Dad's on the computer doing his stinky tools again!" It's getting harder to sneak ah..um..I mean...squeezin oldtools, but this time I was ready for her. (smiles as he thinks he's a step ahead of a six year old)

After explaining...nicely...that she was being a tattletail, she immediately exclaimed as only a six year old can "I AM NOT!" Me -"Do you know what a tattletail is? Elizabeth - "YES!" Me - I'll bet if you look up tattletail in the dictionary...you'll find your picture."

Well.... Elizabeth being eager to prove me wrong, produced said dictionary, and being quite brite and able to read at an early age, quickly found the correct heading. Of course finding her picture was quite a surprise "HEEEEYYYYYYYYY!!!!" and drew a look from SWMBO. I'm sure some of you are familiar with the look right?

>Best put her name under "know-it-all" while you're thinking of it, because it about 6 years you'll need it if she goes thru the normal stages of most young teens that is. ;~)
